Nautilus Dragados attends the “Blue Breakfast: Perspectives for the Future” in Seville

On February 20, 2026, Nautilus Dragados was present at the Blue Breakfast: Perspectives for the Future meeting, organized by the Maritime-Marine Cluster of Andalusia (CMMA) together with the newspaper La Razón, held in the city of Seville.

This meeting brought together institutional representatives, companies and experts from the maritime, port and logistics sectors to analyze the role of the blue economy as an engine of development and growth for Seville and its surroundings.

Round table: the blue economy as a vector of growth

During the event, a round table discussion entitled “Blue Economy as a growth vector for Seville” took place, in which prominent figures from the institutional, business and academic fields participated:

  • Alberto Barroso Caro, Director of the CIUSA Innovation Centre and Professor at the University of Seville
  • Carmen Tovar Rodríguez, Special Delegate of the Minister of Finance to the Seville Free Trade Zone Consortium
  • Manuel Parejo, Director of the Seville Open for Business office
  • Fernando Torres Canadell, Manager of Grupo Fonsán

The panel was moderated by José Lugo, La Razón’s delegate in Andalusia.

During the debate, key issues related to the development of the maritime sector, technological innovation, sustainability and economic opportunities linked to the port and river environment were addressed, highlighting the strategic role of the port of Seville and the companies that operate in the blue economy ecosystem.

Institutional meeting

During the event, our CEO, Francisco Alí Manén, had the opportunity to share impressions with Rafael Carmona, president of the Port Authority of Seville, and with Javier Noriega, president of the Maritime-Marine Cluster of Andalusia.

These meetings reinforce the importance of collaboration between companies, institutions and organizations in the maritime sector, which is key to promoting projects related to the sustainable management of the coastline, port infrastructure and the development of the blue economy.
