On June 3rd and 4th, the CEO of Nautilus Dragados attended the 2nd Professional Meeting on Nautical and Marinas, held at the Hotel Elba in Estepona. This benchmark event for the nautical and port sector in Southern Europe brought together leading experts, business leaders, port authorities, and institutional representatives.
During these two days, key topics were addressed, such as the sustainability and digitalization of marinas, the role of nautical activities as an economic driver of coastal tourism, the efficient management of port infrastructure, and the necessary public-private cooperation in the development of the sector.
We would like to highlight some particularly relevant interventions such as that of Gerardo Landaluce Calleja, president of the Port Authority of the Bay of Algeciras, who stressed the importance of marinas in the logistics and tourism strategy of the southern peninsula; Javier Noriega, president of the Andalusian Maritime-Marine Cluster, who addressed the challenges and opportunities of the sector with great clarity; Ignacio Álvarez-Ossorio Ramos, managing director of the Andalusian Public Ports Agency, whose intervention provided valuable institutional insight; and the attendance of relevant figures such as Hernán Lapuente Arena, delegate in Andalusia of the Royal Spanish Naval League, and Esther Molina, manager of Suncruise Andalucía and president of the CESUR Tourism Commission, who highlighted the synergy between nautical tourism and sustainable development.
