Our General Manager, Francisco Alí Manén, attended an important working meeting promoted by the Association of Municipalities of the Western Costa del Sol (Torremolinos, Benalmadena, Fuengirola, Mijas, Marbella, Estepona, Casares and Manilva), in which the foundations were laid for the future proposal for the regeneration of the coastline that will be presented to the municipalities of the region.
The meeting, led by President Manuel Cardeña along with Beaches Delegate Fran Cerdán, has focused on the need to address in a coordinated manner the challenges affecting our coasts.
The beaches of the Costa del Sol are one of the region’s main natural and economic assets. In this context, a strategic plan is being developed with several key objectives:
- To ensure the stability of the sand against adverse weather phenomena and storms.
- To coordinate a joint, effective and sustainable response among all the municipalities involved.
- Maintain and reinforce the excellence of the coastline, both for residents and for the tourism sector.
